Author: Classic Game Room HD reviews BLACK for Playstation 2 PS2. Bang! Explode! Boom! Black is the most explosive shooter that CGR has played and one of the most outrageously fun. Over the top explosions, firepower and waves of mindless goons make Black an entertaining game that should appeal to fans of stylish shooters like Red Faction, Time Splitters and others. Not quite as technical and precise as many current favorites, Black revels in its fanfare of shattered glass, shell casings and exploding random barrels and trucks. This CGR review of the first person shooter Black has gameplay from the PS2 video game, Black, showing FPS action on Playstation 2 in Black in HD. Will there be a sequel to Black called Black 2 on PS3 Playstation 3 soon? We can only hope…. perhaps it will be called Black 2 sequel Bodycount for PS3 and Xbox 360…?

I remember this game! I thought this game was over the top NUTS! I liked it, but I remember feeling like it was a bit too much for me! Good one, nonetheless!

One thing I hated about this game was the hypocritical sense of realism with the guns. Sure they could destroy a load of scenery in a fairly realistic way but the ammo caps on most of the guns where completely different to in real life. The ak-47 or m-16 would store 60 rounds in a 30 round magazine case and the glock 17 would store only 12! On that bridge level towards the end u couldn’t even use the m-16 with grenade launcher attached, you had to use them separatly – pure bullshit!

How come some game producers can optimize the ps2 engine up to the maximum even when the console is 7 years old and some even can’t optimize at all…

Got black on my old xbox & still play it loads even tho iv completed it a few times. Even the lack of save points & no multiplayer doesnt stop it being my favorite game ever!
