TechnoBuffalo: technobuffalo.com Follow me on twitter: cuthut.com Unboxing the Dell Inspiron 14Z laptop. To those asking why I am reviewing a Dell. As a tech journalists it’s my job to review the products people are interested in, and to leave my personal opinions or experiences out of it.
As a recent switcher to mac I had a Dell desktop for about 5-6 years, this was the worst investment of my life. For some reason I think dells are attracted to viruses. I’m glad that I switched to mac, and really they were both the same price around $2000. Apple is a great company and I will always have a place for a mac. Jon thanks so much for the apple videos too!
In my opinion, Sony Vaio and the Macbook Pro are the best laptops you can get. The Vaio for Windows/Linux fans, and the Macbook Pro for Apple fans. Both amazing laptops. I’ll never buy a laptop if it’s not made by Sony or Apple.
@Nathan5763 Hers is a Dual core 1.6ghz Intel Centrino with some intel intergrated 64mb graphics and 1.5gb ram (1 x 1gb & 1 x 512mb) where as mine is a single core 1.6ghz AMD Athlon Neo with intergrated ATI x1250 64mb grpahics 2gb ram (1 x 2gb) my laptop is a HP dv2-1010ea BTW she is running Win 7 Ultimate 32-bit & im running Ubuntu 9.10 32-bit
@Nathan5763 i even put Win 7 on mine as a test and it still pissed on hers for god sakes she has what is technically a better CPU than mine I guess 1.5GB VS 2GB relay makes that much difference
@krymnon i don’t understand how people haven’t figured this out yet. the reason HP, Dell, etc. bundle software with the computers is to SUBSIDIZE the price of the laptop, i.e. make it cheaper for the consumer. The crapware that comes preinstalled with these PCs is essentially an advertisement for the full versions (Norton/Symantec, etc.) and these companies PAY DELL AND HP to include it. This makes it cheaper for them to manufacture the PCs, which are then sold at a more competitive price.
true. –but it still indicates on the screen itself.
Toggle caps, and it’ll pop up as you look at the screen.
I mean, it makes sense.
Same goes for the wifi switch.
Although, one thing I do agree to is the Hard Drive indicator light which
majority of Dell’s seem to be missing.
That’s something I would like.
Correction.
A lot of laptops have great hardware built into them that are the same as what
the mac books have, if not even better.
People saying mac vs pcs doesn’t make sense. Both machines are so similar.
Now, if your talking about software, then that’s a different story.
Mac OS vs Windows perhaps? Or Mac OS vs Linux? Yeah ok, you
make a good point there.
If that’s not what you mean, please reiterate what yo meant
with your comment. :)
haha i want to see all your stuff in one picture :P
the box sucks like crazy
