It would be wonderful if anyone who starts a new business has the money up front to get everything rolling, this is not however the case. Fact is many people who wish to start a home business do not have capital period. This is generally the primary reason for the idea income generating businesses.
So in a nutshell, what is it you do when you have no capital and need product to sell? The answer is relatively simple; you go to a wholesale distributor. These distributors carry many products that can be sold in many fashions, from a home business all the way up to a large storefront.
When you set up an account with a wholesaler there will be stipulations that involve the shipping and handling of the said product that you are selling. There is what is known as a commission fee and the general cost of said product. In this case if, for example, you are purchasing 5,000 pairs of jeans for say, at 8.00 dollars a pair from the wholesaler, selling them for 25.00 a pair this is a 17.00-dollar mark up.
When you have this situation where there is a mark up, you will pay the 8.00-dollar cost of the jeans, and an additional fee for the service of wholesale. This is not really a drastic fee, so the impact is minimal.
This is what is known as resale rights. These products known as resale rights can be just about anything of the material nature. It can include tires for your car, sporting goods, baking supplies, anything that is a product and saleable.
Considering you will be dealing with the wholesale market for your goods, you will want to ensure you are getting the best possible prices from them too. In order to sell something at the right price, you have to buy it at the right price. This will ensure that you are in turn receiving top dollar for the goods you sell on ebay.
Many times you may have to pay for a storage fee as well, this would most likely be on larger items. For example if you are dealing with car tires, you cannot very well keep 5,000 tires in your living room while waiting for them to be sold. This is where the company will hold the product and ship what is required for the corresponding sale. Clearly resale is the best method for the new business.
