The Power Of Brandable E-Books

A quick background to brandable e-books for all of you unfamiliar with the term. Brandable e-Books are e-Books that allow you to brand the product with your own affiliate links. So for example, you could have an e-book that is about creating your own software product, and at the end of the book there could be a link to some related software.

A brandable e-Book would allow you to encode the link to the product so that if someone purchased, you would get a commission for the sale. Not bad considering all you had to do to make the sale was sell/giveaway the e-Book.

Now, in theory that sounds all well and good, but what about in the real world; does it actually work?

Short answer…YES

The thing that made me create this article was a small 4.55 US Dollar payment into my Clickbank account earlier this week. The payment wasnt for a product that I promoted, or one that I had created myself. It was someone elses e-book that I was able to brand with my affiliate link, I then simply made the e-book available to download from my website and from then on I have been receiving 4.55 USD payments into my Clickbank account on a regular basis; for doing virtually no work at all!

As an e-Book author I am a firm believer in branding my e-Books. I fell that it gives resellers more opportunity to make more money from the e-book, aside from the fee they receive from the sale of the e-book; they also get the chance to make backend sales from the affiliate links within the e-book.

Once you have branded an e-Book and you start to distribute it, I always give out resale rights, this means that the e-Book you branded then gets handed around the Internet like wildfire. Every time someone reads that e-Book there is a chance you will make an affiliate commission!

The example I gave was an e-Book that promoted a low priced product, however most will give you a generous commission. My latest creation (and yes, it is 100% brandable and resalable!). Contains a link in the footer of the document. The e-Book allows you to brand that link so it is your very own affiliate link.

As the link is in the footer you have your affiliate link in every single page of the document! If someone clicks on that link and purchases the full Auction SOS! Product then you (or whoever branded the e-book!) receives 23.50 USD into your paypal account.

Not bad for simply selling or giving away a single e-Book! The next time you decide to write an e-Book it would be a good idea to make it brandable!

There are a number of high quality brandable e-Books on the market. You can view the latest brandable e-Book by the author at: http://auctionsos.com/report/

Build Your Internet Identity

Notice how the top earners online, be it a Super Affiliate, Ad Sense Master or Internet Passive Income Guru, all seem to have their names secured in a niche industry on the internet. When you think of the Coca Cola brand, what comes to mind? Does an image of a red can with words Coca Cola written in white display in your mind’s eye, or perhaps a coke bottle? Likewise we must pick our niche on the internet and brand our name accordingly. Be known for doing good in 1 area before moving on to the next project.

Here are the things we need:

1) A website that belongs to you. Even though an affiliate can utilize the merchants affiliate page, it is still preferred to have your own website. This allows you to present the sales/business opportunity in your own words and pre sell the product, before sending your visitor to the merchants sales page.

2) Auto Responder and Opt In box. Your visitors will most likely not make a purchase on the 1st attempt and when they leave your site, you will not see them again. Don’t forget, there are also other competing sites that want a share of the sale too. So do capture your visitors details with an auto responder opt in box and follow up with a series of emails. For ideas on what to write, you can use information found on the merchants site and re-express them in your own words. Follow up emails reinforces your brand name in the mind of your readers. Respectful persistence wins sales.

3) Photograph & Signature. A picture paints a thousand words. Scan a groomed, smiling photo of yourself and your a penned signature. This adds that personal touch to let your audience know you are a real person. When your readers establish a connection with you on a personal note, they will make a purchase based on your recommendation.

4) Audio. Do you have a nice speaking voice? If so, combine this with your photograph and signature to humanize your website and establish rapport with your audience. You’ll need a recording software and a microphone. Internet audio streaming software you can use are BYOAudio and Audio Generator.

5) Blog. A blog can be an addon to your main website or be used as a free alternative to a website, at least until you are generating profits. You can combine every aspect of name branding mentioned in the above points into your free blog. Update your blog at regular consistent intervals with content specific to your vision. If you’re into internet passive income programs, then write about that topic and do not deviate. It is ok to write about other matters that lead to the finalization of the end goal. Refrain from writing about off topic content so as to keep your message and theme consistent. One way to keep your readers posted about your content is to use RSS feeds. Check out Feed Burner for their free service.

6) A Domain name. You can register a domain name and forward it to point at your Blog. Use the domain masking feature that allows your website to have a professional look. This will allow www.yourdomain.blogspot.com to appear as www.yourdomain.com

Build Your Brand Without Busting Your Budget

Coke. Pepsi.

Adidas. Nike.

Levi’s. You.

You? Yes, you.

For the home-based business owner, establishing a brand is key to success. Powerhouse corporations spend millions of dollars establishing their brands in the hearts and minds of their target audience. However, for most small business owners, buying a commercial during the Super Bowl is simply not in the budget. It’s not in mine, anyway.

So what can small business owners do to establish their credibility and become known in the hearts and minds of their target market? Is it possible to create a brand on a budget?

More importantly, can it be done quickly? Because we all know that speed is life, and if you’re living on internet time, there’s nothing like now. Who you are today is all that matters. What have you done for me lately?

I’m going to tell you exactly how you can get customers now, and build your brand in the minds of your target market. This isn’t a time consuming process, it’s something you can do today. It doesn’t take a lot of time or a great deal of cash. You can start establishing your brand within the next hour. Yes. One hour from right now.

Your target market wants to solve a problem. You have a solution. If they knew about your wonderful widgets or your extraordinary ebook, they would recognize the value and buy from you. But how do you create your brand, especially as a home based business?

What can you do right now to introduce yourself to your target market? How can you let your target market know that you’re an expert? Can you do it while keeping your costs at a bare minimum?

There is one simple solution for the home-based business owner on a budget: Demonstrate your expertise. You own a business - you sell a product or provide a service. You have expertise. Now express it to your target market.

But how?

Here is a three-step plan that brings qualified visitors to your website.

Step One: Think About Your Business
Right now, before you even finish this article, think about your business, just for a moment. What problems do you solve? How do you solve them? What are the steps necessary to solve those problems?

Is there a topic that you find yourself frequently teaching to your prospects? For instance, I frequently teach my customers how to build their brands quickly and inexpensively. Think of a topic that you cover with your prospects. Go ahead… I’ll wait.

Ok, welcome back. Now that you’ve thought of a topic, you probably have a “standard spiel” you give your prospects when that topic comes up. For me, it’s almost always the same. I tell my customers that to build a brand, they should think of a topic they know well and that they frequently explain to their prospects. I get them to remember the standard spiel they use to explain that topic.

Step Two: Write It Down.

That’s all there is to it. Write down what you typically explain to your prospects. Write the article in a friendly, first person voice, much like I’m doing here. What’s that? You don’t know how to write an article? Sure you do. You just explain a topic so that a reader can understand it. That’s an article. There’s nothing mystical about it.

If the topic is really involved or complex, break it into sub-topics and write an article on each sub-topic. Keep each article to somewhere between 400 and 1200 words. This won’t take a lot of time, because you already know this stuff. These are not topics you have to go figure out, research or look up. Just write down your standard answers.

When you’re done, you’ll have an interesting, content-laden, helpful article. It will be something that your target market is interested in, and something that you’ve learned through experience that they need to know. It’s a topic you teach them during your sales process anyway, so it’s not like you’re giving away the store when you teach them.

Step Three: Get Published.

There are a number of things you can do to get your article published. Post it on forums.
Here are some of the top forums that accept articles:
http://profits.cc/forum/index.php
http://www.im4newbies.com/forum/
http://selfstartersweeklytips.com/forum/

Post your article at the popular article directories. Places like ezinearticles.com, content-articles.com and GoArticles.com love to get well-written articles from experts like you. And yes, you are an expert. This is your business - you know it well - you are giving credible advice. Readers benefit by reading your articles.

The secret to success is to get your article to the largest number of people in your target market in the shortest possible time frame, and then to continually reach out to new people entering your target market.

There are a number of services that will automate the delivery process for you. These places will handle the submission for you.
thephantomwriters.com charges $82.50 to submit three articles
isnare.com charges $49.00 to submit forty articles
ArticleMarketer.com charges $39.95 to submit unlimited articles. Also, try the free distribution option. It doesn’t cost a cent.

The key is to get your expertise in front of as many editors and publishers as possible, as quickly as possible. A distribution service gets your articles to all of the important places much faster than if you do it by hand. You know the truth: time is money.

So what happens next? You’ve finished the three-step plan. You’ve thought about your business, written the article, and sent it to editors and publishers. Now what?

The editors review your article and decide if it meets their standards, and if it provides interesting information to their readers. That’s the key - make the article interesting. It’s not just a sales pitch or a call to action. Give the readers something they can do when they’re done reading the article. Give them something that makes them more successful or makes them some money.

Why is that important? Because when you’ve proven your expertise, they’ll want to read more of your work. They’ll want to know more about you and how you can solve their problems.

That’s where your resource box (About the Author) information is important. In your resource box, you put a call to action, your contact information, and a source for more helpful solutions. When they’ve finished reading your article, those on a quest for more information, with a problem to solve, or a need to fulfill will click through to your site to find out how you can help them.

Once you get your expertise on paper, and then published in newsletters, on content driven websites or in blogs, you are seen as the expert that you are, by people in your target market. You build credibility and you provide proof of your expertise. The more articles you have published, the greater your brand. And you did it without spending a lot of money.

Identity Theft: Count the ways

I received an e-mail message from “Paypal” not to long ago. The e-mail stated that PayPal needed me to update and verify my security information for their database. I didn’t. One of the sentences in the e-mail read:

“Complete the necessary verification tasks within 5 days, or your account might get temporarily suspended.”

That didn’t sound like the PayPal I’ve been doing business with for several years. The grammar of “your account might get temporarily suspended” raised an alarm bell. Also the logo while quite professional looked odd.

But the obvious giveaway was knowing Paypal would never contact me at an e-mail address I never gave them. I could have become a victim of a technique called phishing. Just another form of Identity theft.

The effort criminals put into stealing your identity staggers the imagination.

With Phishing also called brand spoofing, criminals set up phony but legitimate looking websites then spam you with e-mail like the one described above in the hopes of catching a percentage of Internet users. No reputable business will ever ask ask for your personal information via e-mail.

Phishing just became a parent to a newborn child called “pharming”. Hackers plant phony information into DNS servers. This allows them to match domain names with the database of IP addresses maintained by various web hosting companies. In other words you type in a web address press enter and get rerouted to bogus websites where identity thieves are waiting to grab any of your information.

2003 saw identity thieves target Ebay account holders, this year it’s Paypal’s turn but any company with a database of information remains a target.

Choicepoint a veritable clearinghouse for the insurance industry finds themselves trying to explain how identity thieves tapped into their system to defraud 145,000 customers across the U.S. Investigators in California place that number closer to a half a million.

The hackers apparently used previously stolen identities to apply for and receive business licenses then bought information from ChoicePoint whose database totals 19 billion public records.

The FTC estimates that this year alone identity theft will cost the business community 4.2 billion dollars and 8 billion by the end of 2006.

Easy access to computers provide more chances for identity theft but the majority of cases according to the Better Business Bureau happen offline. Mail fraud, public spying known as “shoulder surfing” or telephone scams that target the elderly contribute greatly to this epidemic.

Unfortunately senior citizens face another threat known as the “sweetheart scam” in which a criminal offers to run errands or do chores around the house for the express purpose of taking control of the victim’s finances.

Taking control of someone’s finances can also happen in a restaurant, department store or any legitimate place of business . When a clerk swipes your card twice without your knowledge then stores the information for later use this is know as skimming. Often the clerk will make a duplicate card with your info to go on a buying spree or sell it on the black market. The illegal selling of credit card information as you might have already guessed is big business.

Identity theft has forced many financial institutions to revamp their ATM’s due to criminal rigging. A person uses the ATM but after putting in the pin# the machine keeps the card. Usually when the person goes to report it, the thief strikes, taking card, pin # and most importantly the victim’s identity.

The methods of madness can include something simple like going thru your trash known as dumpster diving or an elaborate hoax similar to the one reported by the Associated Press.

A family in the Pacific Northwest posed as tax preparers and used stolen identities to go on buying sprees across several states that included million dollar homes and luxury vehicles. According to authorities, since the thieves stole the social security # of children as well as adults, the damage won’t be fully known until these young people start applying for credit later on.

Law Enforcement officials believe the next step with this criminal outfit involved applying for health care positions. Hospitals and doctor offices provide a wealth of personal information. Perfect for Identity thieves

These methods along with old fashioned robbery show why identity theft according to the Department of Justice maintains it’s ranking as the number one and fastest growing crime in the US for 5 consecutive years. Unfortunately, it will maintain that status for the near future.

Daryl Campbell is a writer and home business owner.Banks say you should check your credit once a year. No problem right? Except it leaves identity thieves the other 364 days to steal it. Get the professionals on your side to watch your back 24/7. How? Go now to => http://digbig.com/4dwsx

5 Easy Ways to Promote Your Ezine Articles

If you’ve read my work for any length of time then you know that I recommend articles because you can use them to brand yourself as an expert, brand your products and services, and the search engines love them because they are content.

However, once you’ve written your article, where do you promote it?

Although there are many ways online to promote your business, articles offer you several options. Below are five easy ideas for promoting your articles.

1. Article Directories
First and foremost, you should submit your articles to as many article directories as possible. You can easily find article directories simply by searching for article directories in the search engines. You’ll find plenty of high ranking sites out there where you can submit your articles.

Here are several you can try:

http://www.ezinearticles.com
http://www.goarticles.com
http://www.articlecity.com
http://www.isnare.com

2. Lists
Unless you’ve been marketing articles for some time, you probably haven’t thought of submitting your articles to lists. There are thousands of lists out there where you can promote your articles, but you’ll find the best ones on Yahoo Groups because these are the most active.

You can find article lists on Yahoo Groups by searching for article submissions or articles. Here are a few I recommend.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/aabusiness/
http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/articles_archives/
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/article_announce/
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Free-Content/
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/freeezinearticles/

3. Individual Sites
There are plenty of website owners who offer article directories on their websites. Before submitting to individual sites, I recommend you read the article guidelines. It’s a waste of time to submit an article to a site that’s not targeted to your market.

Business - http://www.boazepublishing.biz
Marketing - http://www.killermarketingarsenal.com
Marketing and Webmasters - http://www.ezau.com/
Technology - http://www.oracle.com/technology/contact/otn_submit.html
Multiple Topics - http://www.rlrouse.com/submit-article.html

4. Submission Services
If you’re in a hurry to get your article distributed, there are plenty of sites that will do the grunt work for you. Prices vary. It’s usually a good idea to compare prices and services so that you get the most bang for your buck. You’ll also want to consider how much of the distribution work you want to do.

These two services are both reasonable, as well as being industry leaders in article distribution.

http://www.articlemarketer.com - One click submission of your article. Offers free option.
http://www.thephantomwriters.com - Article distribution to thousands of publishers for a fee.

5. Software
It’s hard to find good software to submit your articles. Until recently, the only software available to do is is Ezine Announcer, http://www.ezineannouncer.com. Although this can be a little time consuming and cumbersome, it’s still a good deal if you’re on a budget. Once you learn how to use the software, you’ll find it speeds up your submissions.

Regardless of how you decide to market your articles, you need a plan. Keep a bookmark file of sites that you market to and make it regular habit to submit. Not only will this spread your marketing message quickly, by providing valuable information to your potential customers, but it will increase your search engine rankings too.

5 Internet Marketing Tips for Newbies

Although there are over 100 ways to market your business on the internet, some methods will get you a lot more traffic than others.

Unlike the offline world, where advertising is very effective, content rules the internet. You’ll develop a more effective marketing campaign when you focus on strategies centered around developing content for your site.

Below are some of my most effective ways to market online, and I do it all for free.

1. Search Engines
Before you even develop your website, the first thing you should do is focus on the search engines. Organic, i.e. free search engine listings that are highly ranked, will get you far more traffic than using any kind of advertising.

The most important thing you should do here is find the right keywords. You can do this by using any of the pay per click search tools. You can also download a free tool like Good Keywords, http://www.goodkeywords.com

2. Articles
Writing articles not only allows you to brand yourself as an expert, it helps you to create original content for your website. The more quality content pages you have in your site, the higher it will rank in the search engines, and you will also create a viral marketing strategy for your business.

3. Press Releases
Press releases are news. Just like the offline world, where press releases are more effective than advertising, so too are they more effective online.

You should remember to focus on news about your business. Don’t make your release a glorified sales letter. It will get rejected.

A simple search for press release writing will help you find resources to help you write an effective press release.

Press releases, like articles, are spider, or search engine food. The search engines love them, and a good release can be very viral.

4. Blogs/RSS
Blogging is the latest craze online. It’s a very effective way to promote your business not only because of RSS, but because you can quickly and easily create content without knowing HTML, and with trackback, it has its own built in link building strategy.

RSS is nothing more than a very search engine friendly code that allows you to syndicate your content to other websites, or to be read in RSS readers.

With trackbacks, you can link back to other sites and build your links. This raises your search engine rankings.

5. Free reports
Free reports, like blogs, articles, and press releases, not only allow you to build a content strategy for your website, but you will also create a viral marketing strategy for your site.

A viral marketing strategy is very important because it’s mainly passive. If you create good content, your content will be recommended by others. One person reads your content and recommends it to someone else, and before you know it, your content is all over the internet. The more entries you have in the search engines, the more likely you are to be found by your potential customers.

The point is, if you develop an effective content and search engine strategy for your business, you will get your message out a lot faster. Potential customers will find you, and they’ll be eager for what you sell because they were already looking for you.

The 10 Building Blocks to a Becoming a Household Name

Do you struggle to attract and retain business? Do you yearn to be seen as an expert in the field? In an increasingly challenging market flooded with fierce competitors and extremely savvy consumers, learn how to develop a killer brand that will inspire you, attract loyal customers, and knock out the competition.

1. Identify your values: This is the most critical step and the one most often overlooked in business. Do some soul searching and get a crystal clear idea of what matters most to you as an individual and then as a company. Your values form the base of your company and should influence every decision, from what kind of toilet paper you buy to the business partners you seek.

2. Identify your mission: Once your values are identified, it’s time to write a mission statement. Ask, why does my company exist? What do we aim to do? Write it in simple language that a 12-year old can understand. Do a search on the internet for mission statements and use the most compelling ones as a template. This is the statement that should get you out of bed each morning and inspire you morning, noon, and night.

3. Identify your ideal client: Again, a critical step. Look at your mission and why your company exists at all and ask, “Whom do I serve?” The hard part is getting as specific as possible to the point of potentially turning off a lot of other people. Don’t worry. The biggest mistake you can make is trying to please everyone. This dilutes your service/product so much that you really don’t strike a nerve with anyone. No one will have a compelling enough reason to buy from you. By turning some people off, you attract others who will bond with you for life. And a final benefit to knowing the specifics of your ideal client is you then have a much better idea of where to look for them.

4. Create an emotional connection: Every potential customer wants to know one thing, “What’s in it for me?” In order to compel someone to pull out their money and buy, you need to connect them to you in an emotional way. How are you going to make their life better? What pain is your product or service going to eliminate? Watch some television and notice how the best commercials create an emotional atmosphere. Which commercials get your attention, which ones stick with you, and how do they get their message across?

5. Identify the benefits vs. the features: Know your product/services inside and out. But instead of just listing the features, describe them in terms of how the client will benefit. Remember, it’s all about creating that emotional connection with your ideal client and telling them how you can make their life better.

6. Create an experience: Why should consumers buy from you as opposed to any one of your competitors? What makes you unique? Successful companies are now in the business of creating experiences that enrich lives. Starbucks does not just sell coffee. From the music they play (and sell) to the comfortable furniture and inviting d
