REVIEW: HP Mini 110 (USA) / HP Mini 1100 (Canada) Netbook

www.digitalhomethoughts.com Want to buy one? Prices start at 9 USD from HP.com. Click here tinyurl.com [Affiliate] This is an review video of the HP Mini 110 XP Edition, running Windows XP SP3. This netbook is a second-generation unit, following on the heels of the HP Mini 1000 released in 2008. The HP Mini 110 that I’m looking at features a 1.6 Ghz Atom N270 processor, 1 GB of DDR2 RAM (upgradeable to 2 GB), a 160 GB 5400 RPM hard drive, integrated 802.11b/g WiFI, and a 10.1 inch LED Anti-glare (matte) 16:9 aspect-ratio widescreen at 1024 x 576 resolution, driven by an Intel GMA950 graphics processor. There’s a webcam of unknown resolution (likely VGA), and the finish is “Black Swirl”. “White Swirl” and “Pink Swirl” are also available. There is no CD/DVD drive, and the version I’m looking at has a 3 cell battery. Please subscribe, rate, and comment. Thanks! Distributed by Tubemogul.

Asus VH242H vs Acer H233H

Asus VH242H vs Acer H233H Asus VH242H ———- + more options in OSD, sharpness, saturation, + buttons instead of touchscreen (personal preference) + Speakers were a bit better, less muffled sounding Acer H233H ———- + White and Black levels seem brighter or deeper + HDMI cable included + easy to see buttons in the dark Both monitors are 1080p 1920×1080 resolution with built in speakers and HDMI port, the Asus VH242h has more options to adjust the image with its onscreen display (OSD) and VH242H presets were better at giving a wider more noticeable change on picture quality. The saturation option alone on the Asus was very helpful for Xbox 360 as TN panels tend to look drab or devoid of colour. Its hard to tell in the video but The ACER H233H on the Xbox 360 looked devoid of colors in battlefield bad company at least in comparison to how I’m used to seeing it The Acer H233H was a little better as a desktop monitor because the white and black levels were deeper and vivid whereas the Asus looked flat or washed out. Adjusting saturation on the desktop is not an issue if you own a Nvidia or ATI card which comes with option to up saturation. The Acer has more of a yellowish image tone to it which seems characteristic of Benq and LG monitors (personal preference). The Asus blueish tones seemed to match more closely to how Samsung would display colors, not as good as Samsung because the whites and blacks aren’t as deep or vivid but the resemblance is there which I like

Classic Game Room HD – ACTIONAUTS on Atari 2600 review

Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of ACTIONAUTS for the Atari 2600 VCS video game system. The Atari was released in 1977, Actionauts was released in 2008 by its designer and programmer, Rob Fulop. In fact it is technically called Rob Fulop’s Actionauts. The goal of the game is to guide a robot through various mazes to find a block of cheese! Sounds cheesy, hooray! It is fantastic to see a brand new game released on the Atari (even if it was designed in 1984) and come in such a nice box with great artwork. This is an extremely limited edition game and mine is # 191 out of 250 sold to the general public (shmucks like us!) For the Atari technical crowd out there, this game was played on the Atari 7800 Prosystem for the review and captured on good-old school VHS. Actionauts will be hard to find but for those of you who like old fashioned old school retro arcade style gaming this review should demonstrate an awesome soon to be classic video game that you may enjoy. Rob Fulop also programmed and designed other games that we’ve reviewed here including Demon Attack (one of the first HD series reviews), Cosmic Ark, Night Driver and Missile Command. Rob Fulop also designed the popular Sewer Shark available on the Sega CD. Will we ever see Actionauts on the PS3 or Xbox 360? If we do I want the Actionaut robot to be much larger and have laser beams. Is that
