How To Visualize And Attract The Life You Always Wanted

First you need to get your vision board ready. Have you built your vision board yet? If you have not, you will find out how to later.

Find a quiet place where you can sit comfortably with your vision board that you have built. Hold up your vision board and look at what are the pictures on the vision board. Go through each and every picture. Feel your emotions going through you as you look at the picture. Imagine owning it, live it… visualize all the things you want vividly. You can add actual motions ( like using your hands to feel the diamond ring that you want ) or say out loud “Butler, get me my shoes” etc. Act as if you already have it.

Look at your vision board at least once every day the moment you wake up for at least half an hour in a quiet place. It would be even better if you can look at your vision board again at night. Remember to find a quiet place for you to focus your visualization, to deepen your visualization vividly.

Of course, this is not going to be easy to make it as real and it will take time and practice. But do not give up.

However there are tools in the market that can help you speed up this process. One recommended tool is “Attraction Accelerator” which is a visualization tool that can help you fast-forward the process. If you use this tool, you probably only need only 10 minutes a day to do this visualization exercise. Otherwise, you can find other visualization tool.

Such visualization tools usually consist of special MP3 audios that you can listen to while you look at your vision board. By listening to the MP3s, the special music consists of scientifically proven “beats” in the music background to help you go into focused visualization vividly. In fact many people have feedback that they are listening to it everyday right now. The best part is that since it is in MP3, you can easily burned a copy of it into your MP3 player and be able listen to it whenever you want to. Every time when you listened to it, you can feel brain energy being activated such that you can see “pictures” in your mind in color much like TV.

Here’s a secret : This can be used for focusing as well as for energy and it is not solely for visualization! Try to listen to it during working time to help to stay focus on tasks at hand too.

That said, you can still make the Law of Attraction work without any tools but you really have to be consistent and do not give up. Law of Attraction will definitely work its magic and before long, you may be getting what you desire soon.

When Those We Trust Disappoint Us

Recently I needed some work done by a colleague of mine. I had done a lot of pro bono or free work for him and now I needed him to do some work for me. When the job was completed he presented me with a full retail bill. The work he did was what he had promised — but nothing more. He had returned my favors by making me pay full price. After paying I began to wonder — was I missing something here?

About a week later another colleague asked me to do some pro bono work. As I had some extra time, I did it. Several days later he called me saying he wanted to refer one of his clients to me. His client was a computer programming company that had management issues and he did not feel competent to do the work since he was a systems integrator. He also stated he wanted a percentage of my fee as compensation. After our conversation I began to wonder — was I missing something here?

These two individuals are not dummies. They both are intelligent and educated. They both run moderately successful businesses. And maybe that’s the key — moderately successful. They must treat their customers, employees and vendors just like they treated me — squeezing down to the last nickel. Perhaps they viewed me as super successful since I tend to not get worked up over relatively small amounts of money. I also noticed that these two individuals had something in common: they worry all the time.

They worry if they’re busy or if they’re slow. They worry if the vendors are charging too much or too little. They worry if it’s tax time or if it’s not. They worry that each nickel in assets they own is threatened. They even worry if they aren’t worried!

This oddity struck me and it kept my focus when I met them next. With each they were clenching their teeth, telling me how busy yet how bad things were, worried that they were not being as successful as they really should be. Their smiles were forced and the voices strained.

Then it all began to make sense. They did not see that by taking advantage of me I might not be as willing to help them the next time they had their hand out. Not only that, if they were to get in a real bind — which they will — they may not be able to count on my ability to tell them what they should do. Or help them at all!

These two are not evil or even bad. They are actually decent people that have somehow lost control of that which made them decent. They have traded their basic understanding of business dynamics for a transitory figure that temporarily pops up under the net profit column. Their philosophy has become simple if not simplistic — If it does not bring swift and significant gain it really does not matter.

And for business people that is sad. We who do not have the security of getting a hand out must rely on the strength of the relationships we can forge in the dog-eat-dog world of unbridled competition. We love the hunt but we know we can so easily be hunted as well. Perhaps it is just such a fear that makes my two colleagues oblivious to decency.

So now I take deep breath when I think of these two. I hope they find some degree of happiness in the midst of all their anxiety. If the ulcers don’t get them then the coronaries will.

I am proud to say that despite it all I really bear no ongoing resentment. Fortunately they need me a lot more than I need them. Thankfully the cost-benefit imbalance was not that significant and in a real sense I certainly did get my money’s worth. These are two individuals that I might have been convinced to help out in a larger context. Learning bad lessons can certainly be cost effective in the long run by avoiding the bigger mistakes.

And I truly hope they are happy. Hopefully the tag of ‘moderately successful’ will not be too painful. As hard as they work and as much as they worry they deserve all the happiness and success they can get! Just not from me…

Leading Your Way To Success

Unless you are a leader in your work, you cannot succeed greatly because great people know how to lead others. If your work is making, handling or creating things, or if it is using words, or if it is managing and directing people, you do not succeed unless you lead in your particular line of work.

There are thousands-yes, millions-of people who work well and faithfully from youth to old age. Yet, they never attain to that which we call success. By efficient work, they just hold their own. They do not succeed greatly, because they do not lead in the work they do.

But; if you make better things than others make, or make them a little more rapidly, or more efficiently, you lead in making things and your reward is success in that line.

If you handle things more effectively than others handle them, you become a leader in handling things, and your leadership brings you success.

If you create things-that is, discover or invent them-you become a leader by creating things, and attain to success, providing that you render service by marketing the things you create.

If you work with words, you may use them as does a copyist, or a stenographer, and not succeed greatly in life. In using words, the stenographer is usually a follower-following the use of words, which are dictated by another.

So long as the stenographer remains a follower in the use of words, he can improve his position only by increase of speed, or accuracy, or neatness. But, if in part, he becomes a leader in the use of words-able to use them so that he can take charge of a part of the correspondence of his employer-he becomes a leader in his field, and his compensation is doubled.

There is always a possibility of securing increased compensation and abundance, by one phase of leadership-no matter in what field of work you find yourself!

Of course, there are other fields of leadership in the use of words. The person who thinks vividly and expresses himself in vivid imagery, leads all others. He becomes the great author, the great dramatist, the great orator, the great preacher, the great attorney, or the great public leader who inspires us and leads us to a higher and more efficient life.

In justice, the compensation, which the world gives, not only for different kinds of work, but for leadership in each kind of work, varies. If you lead in doing things, you receive a certain compensation. If you lead in using words, you receive a greater compensation. If you lead in handling people, you attain to the great reward-for, such leadership is the most difficult and the most needed.

There are only three fields of work: (1) making, handling, or creating things, (2) using words; and (3) leading and directing people.

Choose the field in which you wish to lead, on the dual basis of ability and service-the field in which you can render the greatest service to others for the longest time. Your native ability is the first factor, which determines your choice, and the needs of others is the second. Of this second factor, it seems unnecessary to write a word-for you know that you will fail if you choose a work which others do not need, just as you would fail if you should invest in a factory to make one-horse shays!

Determine your skill set, become a leader in that skill set, find a need and start trying to fill it. Then hold on to your hat because you’re on the way to becoming an entrepreneur.

5 Ingredients For Success In Law of Attraction

In this article, I will outline 5 ingredients for success in the Law of Attraction. Make the Law of Attraction a part of your life to achieve your goals and dreams. Whatever you want in your life, you can accomplish. Be it wealth, health, happiness, love and more.

Ingredient 1 is The Science of Getting Rich

There is a book that you should read to help you fully understand the Law of Attraction and how it can help you in your life with anything you want to achieve. The Science of Getting Rich, by Wallace D. Wattles can help guide you through how you can change your negative thoughts, doubts, worries, and fears into positive thinking and how this will help you achieve what you want in your life.

Ingredient 2 is Thoughts Become Reality

Your thoughts do actually physically manifest themselves in your life. Therefore, when you think negatively, those thoughts will bring about negative things in your life, ie. things you do not want. Negative thoughts attract negative events and things. The Law of Attraction can help you change your way of thinking. When you think positively you will attract positive things in your life. Your positive thinking can help you make those positive things in your life become a reality.

Ingredient 3 is Redirect Your Energy

You can redirect your energy by controlling your thoughts. Remember your thoughts do not have control over you, you are the one (and the only one) who can change the way you think. If you are like most people, you might constantly think about what you do not have. This is a waste of your energy and incurs negative thoughts about your life and yourself. You need to redirect your energy to be grateful for everything, and everyone you have in your life. By being grateful you will realize that you have a lot more than you thought you did, that you may not need more material things, that you have accomplished more in your life than you are giving yourself credit for, and that you can achieve what you want in your life. This takes the focus off of the negative thoughts of what you do not have, what you cannot have, and what you wish you had and redirects your energy toward being grateful for your life and everything in it.

Ingredient 4 is Visualization and Goal Setting

Positive visualization and proper goal setting is the platform from which you jumpstart your life and reaching your dreams. With positive visualization you can help your mind think positively and attract positive things in your life. You should spend at least five minutes a day with visualization. You should feel peaceful, relaxed, and calm. Visualize your goals and dreams using all of your senses. Visualize yourself as the person who has already accomplished these goals and dreams.

Ingredient 5 is Positive Actions Bring You What You Want

None of these ingredients of the Law of Attraction will work for you if you do nothing to make them happen. You must take action toward accomplishing your goals and dreams. Take the necessary steps to get there and you will.

Lemonade and The Universal Law of Attraction

Here’s a great parable on how you can use the universal law of attraction in your life.

There was a gentleman, let’s call him George, who was going through a tough financial streak. One day there was a knock at the door and, by the time he answered it, the caller had vanished. All that was left was a crate of lemons.

Now George had never heard about the universal law of attraction. But he did know that if you add enough ingredients to lemons, you can make lemonade. It happened that he had just enough money in his pocket for the ingredients, and, with an ‘Attitude of Gratitude’ for the ‘free’ lemons, he set about the task.

Shortly, he set up a lemonade stand at the local County Fair selling the lemonade he made with the anonymous lemon gift. His stand was very popular and many enquiries followed, soon the law of attraction had opened up a range of opportunities for him to pursue.

So, even though George was not ‘consciously’ applying the law of attraction, his actions brought about a series of circumstances that helped him out of his dire circumstances, because he was open to the possibilities around him.

Yes, the universal laws of attraction were good to George.

Do you see how simple it can be to use the law in your life to create an exciting future, one that you can be proud of? And do you also see how easily those same laws of attraction, if not used wisely can attract things you don’t want into your life?

If you begin to be thankful for everything that comes your way in life, the universal law of attraction will sense this newfound gratefulness and begin to provide you with more reasons to be thankful.

This translates into the law of attraction providing you with more of the better things in life, as defined by you. The law will do nothing more in your life than offer the circumstances that you’re thinking of.

Even if you’re given some form of wealth -money- jewelry-a car-, even a tiny bit, but don’t accept it with an air of gratitude, then the universal law of attraction naturally assumes it’s not what you really wanted, and will not deliver more. The law is going to assume -rightly or wrongly - that you really didn’t want that wealth in the first place, and you will know poverty once again.

However, if you accept even that little bit of wealth with sincere gratitude, knowing that if given more, it will accumulate, then the law of attraction is going to bring even more wealth your way.

It might not happen overnight, but rest assured that eventually the universal law of attraction will recognize your sincere gratitude and begin to bring more wealth your way. The law of attraction doesn’t work just for wealth; you can put these amazing universal laws of attraction to work for you in your relationships, in attaining joy, in your career in absolutely every endeavor in your life.

There is not an aspect of your life that is not governed by the law of attraction. That’s why it’s best to take heed to the ancient wisdom: “In all good things give thanks.” This is the surest way to make the law of attraction work in all aspects of your life.

That Law of Attraction Thing Just Doesn’t Work

So, you’ve tried that Law of Attraction thing and it didn’t work.

First, let’s clear up some misconceptions; sitting back with a bag of chips and the remote control proclaiming you’re a millionaire is not what the law of attraction is all about. This type of behavior will not make your dreams come true unless of course, your desire is to become a trivia expert on mediocre reality television shows. Then the law will work amazingly well for you.

The universal law of attraction is more, much more than just the surface use of positive thinking. Once you send your high level energy thoughts into the universe, you will become like a radar screen in a way. You need to tune in to when the law of attraction is at work and sending you messages. You need to recognize when you’re receiving vibrations that line up with your positive thoughts.

If you spend your evenings dwelling on cheese puffs, soda and the next television show, you aren’t giving the universal laws of attraction a chance to work.

But, you protest, I say my positive affirmations every day. I’m still getting nowhere. The law of attraction readily acknowledges that words are indeed powerful. In fact, many spiritual figures throughout history have used affirmations that prove this.

However, if you spend 20 minutes a day reciting your affirmations, and then another 23 hours and 40 minutes bemoaning what a miserable state you’re living in, how do you think the law is going to work? Without a doubt you will ‘attract’ what you’ve been thinking about for the vast majority of the day.

Here’s a tip, when it comes to using the universal law of attraction to succeed in bringing the best of everything into your life: back your affirmations up with day long thinking about the good things you want. Put yourself ‘in the picture’ of how you will ‘feel’ when you attain the things you desire.

Be as specific as possible; what color is the car you are thinking of? How does the interior smell as you settle into the drivers seat for the first time? Does it have leather upholstery? What sound does the motor make? If you can spend a moment to dwell on these things- perhaps during a quick break, it brings them closer to your conscious mind and helps you to be on the look-out for opportunities that may lead to these things coming into your life. When you find yourself slipping into your old ways of thinking, catch yourself and remember that the universal law of attraction is as committed to you, as you are to it!

So, If you want more of the good things, more success, a little more money for bills and vacations, better health here are five steps to start you off.

1. Meditate daily. When you are quiet and not shouting or running around doing errands its easier for your soul to talk to the universe. But more importantly its easier for the universe to converse with your soul. Try to meditate twice a day. Of course 30 minutes at a stretch is the best, but if all you can muster at first is 5 or 10 minutes, that’s better than nothing. Before centering yourself, consider the goals you want to attain. Allow universal law of attraction the to work through you during this time.

2. While you’re meditating be ever mindful of only the good things you want to attract into your life. Push out thoughts of poverty, of suffering, of illness. These are not things you want in your life, so don’t even think of them.

3. Consider your true potential. If you’ve never been told what your true potential is. Would you be surprised to learn that it’s infinite?

That’s right! You and I and everyone else are created from the same stuff that the universe is made of. The potential of the universe is unlimited. So is ours. This will go a long way in helping the laws of attraction work for you.

4. Don’t become obsessed with the outcome of your desires. This sounds dangerously close to an oxymoron. Desire something with all your might, but stay detached from the outcome. Don’t worry. ‘The law’ will bring you your desired outcome in its own mysterious way.

5. Let the universe deal with the sticky details. This is related to the previous step. Don’t worry about the outcome or the means by which the universal laws of attraction will work out the details. What may seem impossible at the moment will certainly play out step by step to bring you your desired outcome.

Presenting Effectively to Win Business

We are all familiar with the old adage ‘it’s not what you know, but who you know’. In business, it’s equally true that it’s not what you know, but how you put it across that counts. Few people are born with a natural talent for presentation skills and good business communication. The good news is that presentation skills can be learnt.

Business is about winning
You may not be in a sales role but if you are in a profession or a service industry and have to ‘pitch for business’, how you present yourself and your organisation is as important as what you say.

Prepare well
When you’ve worked hard for the opportunity to make a new business pitch, you must prepare thoroughly. You will probably only get one chance so be sure you have the answers to the following questions:

Who are your audience?
- how many people, what do they know about the subject, and what do they expect from you

What main points do you want to get across?
- that you know your subject, you understand their business, you have clear objectives, and are results-orientated or will provide great service?

How long is your presentation?
- establish how much time you have and whether this includes a period for questions.

Where will you be presenting?
- do you know the size of the room and the layout?

Structure your presentation
The content of your presentation will vary according to the requirements of the potential client. In general:

- people can only take on board three or four main points so agree what they are
- clients are much more interested in hearing about themselves and what you can do for them, so keep your credentials short and relevant
- focus on what’s in it for the client or prospect
- emphasise what makes you different

Selecting your visual aids
The basic rules are:
- use as few as possible
- keep them simple and avoid too much detail
- make sure they have the equipment you need

Use positive body language
Standing, looking confident and smiling will give a good initial impression, even if you feel nervous. Remember these points to enhance your presentation skills and come across with impact:
- maintain eye-contact to build rapport quickly
- use meaningful gestures to emphasise key points
- use prompt cards or brief notes
- if you present with a team, listen to your colleagues when they’re speaking

Develop an interesting voice
If you speak in a monotonous drone your audience will soon stop listening. Put plenty of expression into your voice.
- pause and slow down to eradicate fillers such as “errs” and “ums”
- don’t let your voice trail off at the end of sentences - keep up the energy
- vary your pitch and don’t rush through it

Practice makes perfect
There’s no substitute for thorough preparation and practise if you want to develop your presentation skills. In any case remember:
- if presenting as part of a team, ensure that everyone is present for the rehearsals
- do at least one complete run-through with no interruptions. Time it and, if necessary, condense without disturbing the “flow”. Never over-run.
- anticipate and prepare for likely questions
- practise handovers
- Presentations skills training can help you get valuable feedback on your approach

Enjoy yourself
Attention to detail, preparation and practise take time - but you will probably only get one chance to get it right. The difference between success and failure lies in the effort you put in. Who knows, your presentation skills could end up not only winning you business, and you may find you actually enjoy the experience.

Shaun Parker investigates how presentation skills can benefit your business. When combined presentation skills and personal impact training can be the key ingredient to delivering sales pitches with confidence and winning business.

Breaking Free of Bad Habits

Have you ever tried to break yourself of a bad habit? More powerful than a bad habit, have you ever tried to free yourself from an addiction? I have. Have you tried to stop many times? I did, too. I would swear to myself that I would quit and the next thing you know, I’d have an emotional moment or a drink and I’d break my promise.

That would start the vicious cycle of self-sabotage/self-loathing all over again. I would then find myself worse off (emotionally and spiritually) than before I even made the attempt to quit.

Bad habits and addictions zap our ability to move forward in life. Since this is the time of year for resolutions, it’s the perfect time to give it up!

So after more than 20 years of smoking, I finally quit. Sounds easy to say now, but the reality is far from it. Smoking took up way too much of my life. I couldn’t do certain tasks without a cigarette. I wouldn’t go anywhere without them. I made other activities wait until I went somewhere to purchase them.

I didn’t like the way it smelled and the smell was everywhere, on my breath, my clothing, my car, my house; you get the idea. The constancy of the odor became a metaphor for just how deeply smoking had become ingrained in my life, indeed, it had permeated my life. And the really crazy part about all of this? More often than not, I didn’t even enjoy smoking.

So like lots of other people, I tried to quit. Many times. And I always ended up smoking again. Finally, during yet another attempt to quit, I took a smoker’s profile test to see if I could find out what it was that attracted me to smoking in the first place. I learned from it that I was a social smoker, meaning that I mostly smoked when I was with other people.

This information was like striking gold because I saw for the first time how I didn’t have the courage to decline a smoke offered by a friend for fear that they wouldn’t like me anymore. Our human connection was partly bonded through our smoking experience; would there still be a connection if I took that bond away?

One day as I was having a smoker’s coughing spell, I suddenly heard the words of one of my mentors: “If you want to be a leader you have to give up the need to be right.” It was one of those moments when I knew I had heard a personal truth because of how it resonated in my soul.

I repeated the words to myself once again and decided at that moment that I had to give up my people pleasing ways because I saw clearly just how destructive it was. Not only was I risking my health by smoking, but I was also letting my perception of what others might or might not think about me be the barometer by which I made all my life decisions.

To this day, that moment remains an indelible mark on my brain. That was the day I decided to put myself in charge of my life.

That doesn’t mean it was all down hill from there. I still had the withdrawal symptoms to deal with. For me, the power of prayer took them all away. Solid scientific research has been done on prayer and the startling results showing measurable and reproducible benefits that can’t be explained by any traditional scientific understanding. 12-step programs also claim the belief in a power greater than self as the bedrock of their programs.

Not only is there documented evidence about the benefits of prayer, but my own experience with it makes me highly recommend it for help with letting go of self-destructive habits.

In addition to the withdrawal, I also had to substitute healthier activities for my old habits and learn how to deal with people being unhappy about my decision(s). Leaders make decisions. When you are a decision maker you must realize that many people will call that decision wrong.

Look at the president of the United States. No matter who’s in office, half of the people will disagree with whatever decision is made. Look around. Few people are willing to step up to a leadership position but they are the ones who endure the brunt of public criticism.

The day I decided to take charge of my life I stopped trying to fit in with the status quo. I became the leader of my own life. I decided that it was okay to make my own decisions, okay to be wrong, okay if others didn’t like my decisions, and okay if I lost a few smoking buddies as a result. What I gained was so much bigger than all of that. Plus, I haven’t had a cigarette since!

What do you need to be right about? What bad habit do you need to give up? Are you willing to give up relationships that are held together by bad habits? I AM!

Action ~ realize that you are a person of CHOICE, one who can choose to do what is right for yourself. Remember that even those who claim to love us have their own reasons for wanting us to stay in our comfort zone.

After you’ve made the decision to be the leader in your own life, pray. Pray for freedom from your destructive habit and strength to withstand the pressure of the void. You’ll be glad you did.

Focus and Concentration Tips: How to Make Your Mind Stay on Track

Gaining focus and maintaining concentration on school, work, or whatever your goal is quite a challenge for most people. Both things however are important if you wish to attain your objectives efficiently and effectively.

Know What You Want.

It is impossible for you to gain focus and concentration if you do not know what you want. Be as specific as possible when describing your goals to yourself. If you know exactly what you want, the better you will be able to focus and concentrate on getting what you want.

Multi-Tasking Are for Computers

And you are not a computer, are you? Since you are not, then do not expect your mind to be able to work like one. Even Einstein had to concentrate on the nuclear bomb exclusively before moving on to something elseless dangerous.

If you wish to be able to accomplish your goal, you need to take things one step at a time.

Divide, Organize, and Conquer.

In relation to doing things one at a time, the best way to gain focus and concentration is by dividing a huge task into smaller sections. Then, you can focus and concentrate on accomplishing one section after another. If you have a project to work on, divide it into sections such as planning, gathering for resources, implementing the changes, and so forth.

If you do it that way, the next thing you know you have already completed the task way before the time allotted for you.

Expect Resistance.

Life is never smooth sailing for anyone in this world, not even for Bill Gates. As such, be prepared beforehand to encounter resistance of sorts to completing your goals. Distraction comes in all shapes and sizes, so it could be anything that would threaten your focus on concentration.

Knowing however that there will be an obstacle to overcome will already help you conquer whatever challenge you are facing and resume your focus and concentration.

Gaining Focus and Concentration Takes Time.

Do not fool yourself into thinking that you will gain instant success the first time you try to follow these tips. Sure, it is possible for that to happen but it is even more possible that it will not. If you have trouble gaining focus and concentration, do not feel worried and give up immediately because what you are going through is normal.

As time passes however, you will see that gaining focus and concentration gets easier every time.

Focus and Concentration are not for Free.

You will always have to give up something to make room for something better. In this case, the price of focus and concentration may just be about anything but its most probably the one thing that causes you the most distraction.

For some, it could be using the telephone during work hours while for some it is their inner struggle for self-confidence.

Do Today What You Can Do Tomorrow.

In simple terms: avoid procrastinating. The earlier you start working on your goals, the better you will be able to gain focus and concentration. If you leave things too late, you will end up being stressed, pressured, and bothered by the ticking deadline. If you work early on the other hand, you will be more able to focus and concentrate because there is nothing else to worry about except to get the job done.

Once you do develop the right habits to be able to gain focus and concentration easily then do not take your ability for granted. Practice, practice, and practice some more!

Be the ideal person you have always dreamed of becoming! Learn how to acquire any trait (happiness, patience, courage, focus) you desire to possess, attain good health and prosperity, and be in total command of your life at the authors website at: http://www.command-and-master-emotions.com

The Secret to Real Confidence

Sometimes the best secrets are hidden in plain sight. When it comes to developing confidence, there is one “secret shortcut” that took me years to understand, but it’s so painfully obvious that I want to kick myself sometimes for not being aware of it all along. The “secret” I want to tell to you about is acceptance.

Understanding the importance of acceptance requires a little creative thinking. It is important to remember that confidence is never an “all or nothing” situation. We all have confidence to some degree, but it is a fact that some people have much more that than others. It is also a fact, that no matter how low your self-esteem may be right now, you do have some confidence. So it’s a sliding scale, and just for the sake of argument, let’s say that the confidence scale goes from one to ten, with one being least confident and ten being supremely confident.

To further make this point, let’s say that right now your confidence level is a three on this scale, and your friend’s confidence is a six on the same scale. Now, it’s obvious that your friend is twice as confident as you, but at the same time his confidence level is still only a six out of ten, so it certainly could be a lot higher and your friend is very aware of this.

Now here is where the power of acceptance comes into the picture. Imagine that your friend, whose confidence level is a six, feels very bad about himself because his confidence isn’t higher. But let’s say that, unlike your friend, you understand that your confidence level is low, but you feel OK about that, and you’re not judging yourself because of it. In effect, you are saying “my confidence level “is what it is” and I feel perfectly comfortable with that.”

Now, who is going to be perceived as being more confident, you or your friend? YOU ARE! Every single time. Because if you accept your confidence level (no matter what it is) and are perfectly comfortable with it, you are going to come across as much more confident than your friend who does not accept his confidence level. You see how this works?

Another way of saying this would be, no matter what your confidence level is, accepting it and being comfortable with it will instantly make you more confident! Are you having an “aha” moment yet? I know I did when i first began to really “get” this idea. And the irony is, this is such a simple idea. Nevertheless, I overlooked this critical point for many years. Maybe you have too…

But once you understand the importance of acceptance, you can use this knowledge to immediately boost your confidence. All you need to do is begin where you are right now and make it a point to accept your current situation and your current level of confidence. Do NOT feel frustrated with yourself or your situation. Begin with a good feeling about where you are right now at this very minute. After a day or two of thinking this way, you will definitely notice a difference. When you begin any confidence building program from the point of view of acceptance, you are certain to see greater results in less time.

But be warned, if you begin trying to make changes in your life from a position of frustration, or self disapproval, you will find it much more difficult to create the results you want. Find a way to make peace with yourself and your situation where you are right now. Remember, the key to the whole thing is to start by accepting yourself just as you are right now. You absolutely can do this, and it WILL make a difference. Every single time.
