Review of ASUS G73JH-A2 from Newegg after 1 Month

**UPDATE ON MAY 31, 2010** I could go on forever about the good stuff this laptop has to offer, but we already know those. It’s fast, the screen resolution is awesome. You can’t go wrong with 8GB of RAM. The GPU is the best on the market (for now)… 480M coming soon of course. Needless to say, I’m still in love with the laptop and it does everything I need it to. ******************************* People have been wanting a review of this unit, and I finally did one. I forgot to say at the end of the video that my conclusion about this laptop is it’s near perfect if you’re wanting a 17″ model. Leave comments if you’re wanting to know something specific about the laptop and I’ll try to make another review compilation with answers. Recorded on my cell phone, so the quality isn’t great – but the information is there. :)

Newegg Review: Sony VAIO E-Series Notebook

www.newegg.com The Sony VAIO E-Series notebooks come in a wide variety of configurations; our sample model sported a 2.13 Ghz Intel Core i3 330M CPU, a 500GB 5400 RPM mechanical hard drive and a Blu-Ray combo drive for multimedia purposes. The E-Series holds up well as a mid-range laptop. The screen size, speedy CPU and Blu-Ray combo make it an ideal fit as a mobile multimedia machine. The dimensions and weight, while not as portable as a netbook, are still easily transported to class or work on a regular basis. The battery life was a bit lacking, but did play back a full-screen video for just over 3 hours — which isn’t too bad for a 15.5″ screen. Finally, customization and configuration options mean that there’s an E-Series to fit just about anyone. Whether you prefer AMD or Intel, or any variety of colors, there’s an E-Series that will suit your needs. Newegg Review: Garmin Oregon 550t Handheld GPS

www.newegg.com Summer is upon us, so it’s time to get outdoors and enjoy some sunshine and exercise — we recommend lots of sunscreen if you’ve been locked inside playing video games for the past 6 months. If you would like to add some advanced technology to your excursions into the great outdoors, you might consider a handheld GPS such as the Garmin Oregon 550t. Rich got to spend some time with this feature-rich GPS over the past week, and today he’s sharing his experience with us. Rich also hiked deep into the wilderness of Schabarum Park (located near the Newegg offices here in Southern California), and discovered a geocache where he deposited a special note. The first lucky explorer to find it should contact us using the enclosed instructions for a special prize! Newegg Supreme Combo Part II: The Build

www.newegg.com Time to get our hands dirty with Part II: The Build. Jeremy, one of our EggXpert Community Mods, graciously offered to assist me in assembling this beast. We had a great time drooling over the top-end hardware and learning the ins and outs of the Level 10, and even managed to get it done without the usual bloodletting that most builds demand as a sacrifice (though I believe Jeremy cut himself intentionally toward the end, fearing that we might not get through POST if the PC-building gods were not appeased).
