Tandy 1000 Computer System Review – LGR
Review from the perspective of a somewhat casual collector: is the 1000 series worth collecting today? A run-down of the history, pros and cons of the systems and games, what to look for and be aware of when buying. The PCjr may have failed, but Tandy? Tandy ruled. 386 MS-DOS Computer Overview – Lazy Game Reviews
When the 386 came to market in 1986, it blew everything else away. Having one of these was considered “life in the fast lane” and until the 486 & Pentium, it was the ultimate CPU to use. This is an overview of the NCR Comten PC 386SX from 1989, a 386 processor-based sort of IBM PS/2 55SX ish clone, as well 386 machines in general. Also compares its speed to the IBM PC and XT range of machines. Classic Game Room HD – JOUST for Xbox Live review
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of JOUST for the Xbox 360 Live Arcade! Developed by Williams and originally released in the arcade in 1982, Joust was a smash coin-op, old school video game hit. To this day Joust remains one of the best 2D arcade titles to date and is amazingly fun to plady. Joust has been released on just about every video game console system in history including the Atari 2600, 7800, NES, Playstation and Xbox Live Arcade. There was even a Joust pinball machine! Classic Game Room HD – GALAGA for Xbox Live review
Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of GALAGA on Xbox Live Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game console. XBLA has brought out numerous old school retrol arcade classics like Frogger, Pac Man, Xevious and Galaga. These games play in HD through an HDMI cable if you have one, they cost a few bucks each and are usually playable on Xbox Live where you can earn achievements and gamer points (gamerpoints). Galaga is a throwback to the days when Space Invaders influenced dozens of arcade machines, the alien invaders shoot at you and move back and forth, they fly down and attack you. Galaga is just awesome. you need to play this game if you like the 1980′s and arcade machine classic games and gaming. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes.
